This International Day of the Girl Child, we are beyond excited to share some incredible news: the Future Me project has been named a finalist for the 2024 Victorian Early Years Awards (VEYA)! This recognition celebrates the remarkable work we’re doing to empower young girls to envision their futures in STEM.

Through creative, hands-on experiences and engaging resources, Future Me is making STEM not just accessible but also exciting for young minds.
Some of our proudest initiatives include:
- Comic Books: Featuring relatable, inspiring characters who navigate STEM challenges, these stories spark curiosity and imagination.
- Workshops: Events like Santa’s Lab Sydney and Halloween Lab bring science to life through play-based, hands-on experiments.
- Soapbox Science Melbourne and Sydney: Public events that spotlight women in STEM, showcasing their groundbreaking work and inspiring the next generation.
By addressing the gender gap in STEM education and careers, we’re empowering girls from all walks of life—especially those from vulnerable or disadvantaged communities.
